Salazar was a brave and adventurous boy who loved nothing more than exploring the mountains that surrounded his small village. He had heard many stories about the legendary dragons that were said to live in the highest peaks, and he longed to see one for himself.
One day, Salazar decided that he would set out to find a dragon. He packed a small bag with supplies and set off early in the morning, determined to reach the top of the mountain before nightfall. He arrived at the base of the mountain and began to climb. As he climbed higher and higher, the air grew
colder and the path grew steeper. But Salazar was determined, and he pressed on, eager to catch a glimpse of the mythical creatures. Minutes turned to hours as he climb. Finally, as the sun began to set, Salazar reached the top of the mountain. He was panting and out of breath, but the
breathtaking view was worth it. The entire valley lay before him, stretching out to the horizon. But Salazar was not there to admire the view. He was there to find a dragon. He scanned the mountainside, searching for any tell tale sign of the creatures: smoke or dragon fires.
And then, in the distance, he saw something glinting in the setting sun. Salazar's heart raced as he approached the glinting object. As he got closer, he realized that it was a massive cave entrance filled with smoke, nestled into the side of the mountain. And inside,
he could see the faint glow of a fire. He hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should turn back. But his curiosity got the better of him, and he stepped into the cave. which was strangly warm and smelled like charcoal. As his eyes adjusted to the dim light, Salazar realized that he was not alone.
There, in the back of the cave, was a dragon. It was the largest and most majestic creature Salazar had ever seen. Its scales shone like gold in the firelight, and its eyes seemed to glow with a fierce intelligence. The dragon sat motionless, transfixed by the fire. Salazar froze, not sure what to do.
But the dragon seemed to sense his presence, and it turned its head to look at him. For a moment, Salazar thought he would be burned alive by the dragon's fiery breath. But instead, the dragon simply looked at him with what seemed like curiosity. The boy was of no concern to the dragon.
Salazar took a deep breath and stepped forward, approaching the dragon with caution. As he got closer, he realized that the dragon was not menacing at all. In fact, it seemed almost friendly. "Hello," Salazar said, his voice shaking slightly. "I'm Salazar. I'm not here to harm you."
The dragon looked at him for a moment and then let out a soft roar. Salazar wasn't sure what it meant, but he took it as a sign of approval. Cautiously optimistic, the brave boy opened up to the dragon. Over the next few days, Salazar and the dragon became fast friends. Salazar learned that the
dragon's name was Ember, and that she had lived in the mountain cave for many years, all alone. Salazar was amazed that Dragons could talk. Ember told Salazar about her life as a dragon, and how she had once roamed the skies with her kin. But as the years passed, the other dragons
had disappeared, and Ember was the last of her kind. Salazar felt a deep sadness for Ember, and he vowed to be her friend for as long as he could. He spent his days exploring the mountain with Ember, discovering new wonders and marvels. Salazar learned that dragon didnt have to eat often, unlike him.
Ember helped Salazar find suitable human food. As the days turned into weeks, Salazar realized that he didn't want to leave Ember. He loved her company and the adventures they shared. So, he decided to stay with her, in the mountain cave, for as long as she needed him.
And so, Salazar and Ember lived happily in the mountain cave, exploring the world around them by day and returning home at night. Then one they after leaving the cave the two friends never returned. They disappeared without a trace.
